Sometimes I'm a cynic. Sometimes I'm a romantic. But just when I wonder if this dating and marriage thing is really worth it, I read a very simple thing from someone I admire... and a relationship that I envy.
She made me a delicious chicken soup and I just love her all the more the way she is so good to me.
And then I know that waiting for someone that I will be good to, and that will love me more because of it, is indeed worth the wait.

I totally agree.
TRUST ME...it is worth all the wait to find that special someone. Waiting sucks, but I think it would SUCK more to be stuck with a loser. So be patient. He'll come.

Yeah well you can wait for that special someone, but then he's going to expect you to make him soup. And not only that, but enjoy making it too!
It's all very complicated and even when you find that special someone you may never make him soup like your momma makes your poppa soup, but it will still be pretty good. (The relationship, not the soup. The soup will never be as good as your momma's.)
But yeah, that very same line had me smiling and thinking about it today too. I was chuckling about how cute they are together and how something as simple as soup can show someone you love them.
I think if I was to make a homemade soup for my sweetie, he might drop over dead. I like having him around to help raise the kids, so instead I'll just keep getting naked from time to time. That seems to work too.
