office space

This is my sad looking office...

This is my sad looking face...

My office truly needs an overhaul. I refuse to put the ugly picture up on the wall that is sitting on the floor. Each of my boys told me in their own special way that my office looked rather "bare." I told them it looked hideous. My goal for the weekend is to get something on the walls and my books on the shelf. If only I was lucky enough to have a room with a window. I think I have to get a few more therapists to quit before that happens. Being lowest on the totem pole also means I get the ugliest office.

The good news of the week is that I get to go climbing with my boys tomorrow as part of our group therapy.

Also, don't you have one bargazillion books to fill those shelves? I seem to remember boxes of Very Important sounding titled books taking up space here.

I agree though, the office sucks and maybe if you pointed me the direction of things you are interested in decorating with, they might magically appear.

aislinn,

your sad face inspired me with a great idea for your office.

something that would make you happy.

why not solicit your friends to send pictures of them making sad faces.

then, seeing your friends making poor attempt at being sad, will make you happy.

it would be so much fun, i'd love to have that in my office.

and your kids can ask you who each person is, and you can tell them funny stories about us at our expense.

here, i'll get you started:

this is my friend david, we went to a concert together and then ran into his ex-wife who gave us the stink eye and it was really awkward. he likes cereal and running.

yes, i grew some handle bars (weak) for halloween and now i'm having fun

david. that is freakin' genius! i LOVE it. okay friends, start sending me your sad faces (please, pretty please).

eyun, i also love your idea. i'll have to browse your photoblog and decide which ones i want. ninju, you might as well just paint me a picture ;-)

mskaz... yeah, thanks for never calling. i've been weeping each night! magic you say? how about some cool frames from ikea. i'd like a lamp so i can turn the flourescent lights off, but i can probably buy that myself. ummmm, i do want to frame those therapy cards. and YES i will be putting my books on the shelf.

i think i'd like to go for a cool, yet calming feel in there. something that speaks of who i am. i will be getting a new couch, so that's a bonus for having a crap office.

You just left a big opening for some serious harassment, don't you think? Hmmm... what speaks of Aisy? Well a new couch for naps is a starter. The girl likes her naps.

hey aisy,
just wanted to say good luck with the move and all.
I'd send you a sad face, but some jerk stole my only digital camera a few months ago. As for the office, I'd go with taupe. They say it's very soothing.
With your new couch in there and all the pix. I'm sure the boys will find your office quite premium.
