No, not Disneyland. I've never been and maybe one day I'll go but for now I will settle for Hawaii. Tonight I took the plunge and booked a ticket. This is big as I've been accused of being a miser many times in my life. It used to drive my sister crazy that I would never finish my Easter candy on the first day. She would expect me to share and I wouldn't... and then it would go uneaten. There was plenty of years that my Halloween bag would still have candy in it the following year because after hoarding it I would forget it existed. Candy led to money and my frugality still exists. At least I'm the kind of girl that doesn't have excessive debt because of an overpriced wardrobe or something equally ridiculous. However, it dawned on me recently that this is the time of my life to have experiences and maybe just spend a little. And so in April I will descend upon Maui and love every minute of it.

That picture is not of Maui. The Hawaiian islands are in an active volcanic region. Your picture is of some atol. Silly rabbit. Also, Hawaii is going to be sweet. Are you going with anyone?
yeah i know... i just thought it was pretty and all the other pictures weren't so i put it on anyway. i'm going with lisa... if she makes her standby flight. if not, my sis will be there and i'll do some solo'ing.
well, actually it is Molokini Island which is the tip of an extinct volcano and hawaii's premiere snorkelling spots... so guess it is kind of maui.

I stand corrected. It just looked like an atoll to me and I didn't think there would be one of those in the main Hawaiian islands.
Soloing is actually kind of nice. The first time I tried it I was a little nervous but it was sweet. There are some things about having someone there that you miss but the solo experience is somewhat empowering.
If your plan doesn't include hotels then give camping a try. It is really fun.
